I was wondering if the plug for a heated shield came stock on all srx's?
It was on the sled when I bought it.
I am looking to use my garmin GPS, and I am wondering what the typical voltage is for the heated shields?
If its 12v, I will just adapt a plug for the shield, and splice into the power cord for the GPS.
Thanks

The plug is not stock or factory installed. It is a 12 volt source.

right on....thanks
If it's connected to a Blue & white wire it's regulated power. If not put a volt meter on it & rev up the engine to make sure the voltage doesn't go over 14.2 volts. Also the plug on your GPS might have a converter built in so don't cut it off. The GPS runs on 3 volts & less than 1 amp. This could save your GPS. I just put a power source on my 98 SRX & the dealer gave me this info on the blue & white wire.
