Ok, I have a 2000 Yamaha SX600R and I was going to get a 1.25” predator for it but I have found a great deal on a brand new track that some one took off a new 20005 Arctic Cat ZR 900, the track has no miles and I am trying to get it for 300 us shipped to my door….good deal eh?
Anyways I am also getting 4” rear suspension drop brackets so I am not worried about clearance issues in the back of the sled but what about the front end of the sled. Bulkhead ext.., will I have any clearance issues?
Would the top speed be a major difference between the 1.25” predator….and the 1.375”?
thx
Andre

hey n2oiroc dont u also post on HCS?

nice viper!!!! what size track are u running? 136x15x???
i heard that the notches are 3/16 on the zr track...would that clear with the protecters still on?
yeah i guess 4" is a litle bit 2 hight, well atleast for trail ridding.
i guess im gonna go with the 2 - 3 ¼ Inch Drop....how is handeling in corners with ur set up...is it tippy?
what company did u buy ur brackets from....waht is envolded with instaling them?

its a 136" x 15" x 1.75". if the noches are only that deep than you probably need to remove the protectors. its easy enough to do. either way thats a great track, youll love it! handling isnt tippy at all. i really havent railed the corners too much (tall paddles are slippery on hard shiney snow!) but it seems close to stock. i am using stock rx1 brackets and rear shaft. when you deciede to drop it, let me know. the center needs to be dropped too, and not the same amount. the measurements need to be precise. an 1/8" off will case it to bind!2000sxr600 said:nice viper!!!! what size track are u running? 136x15x???

the center mount just needs a new hole to be drilled. to run those brackets you will need to remove your board coolers, put the brackets on, rivet the coolers back on and then shorten the upper shaft of the rear suspension. expensive and not the best option. i would either2000sxr600 said:i am going to be ordering the brackets 2 morrow...what do i have to do to drop the center....so i have to buy something else?

A. run rx1 brackets ($14 each) and rx1 upper shaft ($25 used) $53 total.
B. p.m. srx2000 about his drop brackets. they are offset, so you can bolt them on and use the stock upper shaft. (about $75?)
I have CB and am at 3.25 drop. i dropped the center I think 1.5. I can't remember. i will measure it on Fri. Maxdlx

the board coolers can stay on. the center will need to be dropped. once you deciede how much you want to drop it let us know and we can tell you how much to drop the center. another caution, the rear and center need to be moved forward, not strait down! the distance between all the holes has to be exactly the same as stock! i was 5/16" off and it was binding bad. it must be done with precision!2000sxr600 said:ok thanks againe man, u are really helping me out!

i cant get what i want to post, but if you take a string and hold one end to the front hole and swing it down, you will see it get closer to the front of the sled as it goes lower.2000sxr600 said:the rear and center have to be moved foward....LOL this is starting to confuse me, i know what u are talking about but how will i know how much to move them up by

for instance on mine with a 2.5" drop in the rear and a 1" drop in the center. (A is the front hole, B is the middle and C is the rear) b was moved forward appx. 3/32" and C was moved forward appx. 1/2". there isnt a specific measurement to get it forward, you just need to maintain the center to center measurements of each hole. for example (im just making these #'s up, dont use them!) if A-B is 12" stock, it needs to stay 12" dropped 1". if B-C is 15" stock, it needs to be 15" dropped 2.5". A-B, B-C and A-C cant be changed.

i think this job is sounding to dificult for myself to do
( i just cant picture waht u are trying to say, maybe i should just go to bed LOL)
it would be so much easier if the CB brackets would come with a template.....im thinking of asking my mechanic to do the instalation for me...do u think he would know how to do this....how much time did it take u to do it on ur sled?
