I went to change the fuel filter in my tank and was able to fish out the line but the hose is too short to get the filter out past the filler neck. The only way I can do this is to take apart the adapter where the line goes into the tank and pull the hose out there while having a hold of the filter from the top of the tank at the filler. Then I'm thinking I will have to disconnect the line there at the adapter and pull it out the top. Then I will put in a longer line so I won't have to go through this again. Does this sound like the right way to go about this? I'm working on a 99MM 600.

Drain the tank
Snow Guy, The only way to go is drain the tank. Pull off the fitting where the gas is pulled from the tank and remove the hose and filter. Then fish out though the fuel filler neck the hose and filter. I just did the same thing. Easy with no problem.
