I am 12 and I ride a 1989 Yamaha Ovation and I am wondering how to make it go faster. I have a stock track that resembles a conveyor belt. Does anyone know if they make a 1" or 1.25" track for the Ovation? Does anyone know how long the track is??? I think it is shorter than 121".

your track is 109 inchs long I have a track off a ovation with less then 50kms its a kimpex for 300.cnd plus shipping

Yamaha Ovation track

There is a track for the Ovation that is a .75 lug track by Kimpex. It is an expensive track at $407.99 trought dennnis kirk. There is no 1" or 1.25" tracks that are currently available for the Ovation. Brad

How bad is the track you have on your ovation now?
If it isn't too bad, maybe you can run some studs and it you may get another season out of the track. Make sure your clutches are clean, new belt and fresh plugs.
We had a 90 ovation for a few years. Great dependable sled.
Funny thing is that ovation is what turned me on to Yamahas.

The track is still in great shape, but it just doesn't have much of a lug. I told my dad that I wanted studs, but they don't help in the deep snow. I love to ride in the deep stuff, but I get stuck alot. I want my dad to long track it since he has a couple of 340 Enticer Trappers kicking around (not running). Will that work??

that would work but they only have .5 lug too i think. but longtracking it out to 136" lets a whole bunch of other tracks into the mix.

That ovation motor is the same as the motor in all those old 340 longtracks. They built that motor in 78 and kept building it for years. Like maim said pull the suspension out opf one of them and bolt er up track included. Unless you gear/clutch that thing right you will still get stuck with a 136, gear/clutch it to keep rpm up and you will go far in the deep compared to your stocker. :yrules:
