Hey guys, I recently replaced my stock shocks to the viper 04 takeoffs and as well replaced my track. After finishing every thing I took a few trips around the yard and everything seemed perfect untill I started hearing a clicking noise that sounded like it was coming from my jack shaft area. After pulling the sled back into the garage I noticed(what Im guessing is the front heat exchanger protector) had broken free from the two top rivets and was dangling there hitting my track. Oh yeah, it seems that I must have already lost one cause there is only one there. Anyway I ripped it out. There seems to be plenty of room between the picks and the heat exchanger. My track is camoplast 1 inch.( the finger type thing of a viper 04) Also have 96 woodys 1.075 running up the middle. SHould I not ride her untill i put new ones in or should I run her?

I ran 192 1.375" studs on a 1' camoplast preditor & my protectors came off. the studs hit the fins but never went into the exchgr. I never did put the protectors back on. All my studs were with in an inch of the slides, nothing in the middle 3"s of the track. I also had to add a 1/4" to the rear protectors. If the track had ever skipped on the sprocket I think the studs would have gone through the front exch so I ran the track banjo tight. Hope this helps!

This def. makes my stomach feel a little better. The reason I'm worried is the last track I had on her had 192 studs with the stock track. There was quite a bit of damage on the outsides of the heat exchanger but nothing that ever went through.(thank god) The reason it did in that case I think for one the track was very loose and sloppy and also due to being the outside of the lugs. Being right up the middle i hope to be safe. Thanks
