98 vmax 600 xt twin

Are the pistons ok in these motors? or do they have problems like the 97's?
Also if they are reliable motors, is $1600 a good deal for one with 3500 miles? has plastic skis & a skid plate.

Paid $1800 for my 97 with ~2000 miles on it last fall. I'd say you're getting a fair price. Not sure on the pistons though.

ok so the price is good, what about the motor? Im just wondering if it will be as reliable as my 500 xtc with 7500 miles on it no problems with the motor at all.

VERY reliable!!!!!! i havent had ONE problem with mine,
very, very good sled!!!

Plus i get 11-13 mpg with it!!!!!!

doesnt matter now I found out that it was a 97 and it had no updated pistons so im gonna pass. But I did buy an m-12 for my lil' old 500
