Wondering if anyone has a different idea on this. My 01 700 SRX just out of the blue started bogging out when you punch it. Goes up to about 70 and that's it. Really sounds like it's running out of fuel? I put 80 miles on it that way...it runs great until you get on it hard.
I've checked the fuel filter, cleaned the carbs, and plan to put in a fuel pump before the next ride this weekend.(bummer is I can't try it before the ride). Do the fuel pumps give out on these things? It has 3400 miles, first problem I've had.
Could it be anything else then fuel problems?
Thanks,
Dan

I would pull powervalves and check, also verify that power valve servo is working. I had the exact same thing happen on my srx. Two powervalves were broken along with bad servo motor. Sled would only pull 7800-8000 rpms even after taking 8 grams of weight out of the clutch.

have a tech put a meter on your stator and check all the components make sure all outputs are up to spec. I just worked on a MM600 that was a bitch to diagnose turned out to be the high speed coil on the stator it acted just like seals going out. but only at high speed. felt almost like a really fast tractor

I'll check the power valves tonight. Don't have the "Y" that I guess you need to ck the servo motor, but it sounds like I should get a error code flashed if it's bad?

With the stator bad, would it still run perfect up to high speeds? Also if you mess around with the throttle you can milk it up to say 90....very slowly, if you punch it, you're done.

thanks!

the 6oo would pull like crazy then hit a wall at about 7500 rpm. havent checked to see if srx is set up similar electrically though

OK, thanks. Didn't get time to look at it last night. I'll do some digging tonight. Any other ideas would also be welcome.
Thanks

Found a broken cable on the middle power valve last night, so that must be the problem.
Could on valve not working make that much difference?
Thanks

Definitely!!! I pulled a cable on my SRX700 last year. Ran like crap. Fixed the valve and a night and day difference!!!
