I bought a 2002 viper in july with less than 1100 miles on her and i must say she runs 100%. To start a cold engine i have no problems but has soon as the engine is warmed up i have to start her by applying a bit of throtle and it starts right up, is this a common on these sleds ?

I posted the same question a day ago, they say most vipers require alittle throttle to start after being warmed up.Eric

yes, very common, just lightly ,barely crack the gas and they light right off

yup, same here. another word of advice... if it's really cold out, make sure you put your carb heaters on... otherwise, you may end up getting towed back to a bar to get some hot water to thaw them! (been there, done that)

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I'm having the exact same issues with the hard starting when it's warm. Usually takes 4-6 pulls. When you're talking about lightly opening the throttle, do you do this before pulling or while you're pulling?

while pulling, so I just barely touch the gas with my right and pull with my left.

Mine is the same way!
My viper is the exact same way. I just give it a tiny bit of gas and pull it and she starts right up. Even my dads new poo is this way too.
