br9ecs are for the srx, do not run it with the 8's it will not dissapate heat fast enough. take them to the dealer request new br9ecs. when they try to make you pay more for the plugs (more expensive than the es plugs) tell them they owe you that much for putting in the wrong plugs and making you make another trip to them to correct their mistake. not to mention what would have happend if you burnt it down???? ski

the ecs are designed to dissipate heat quicker and the shape of the electrode resists detonation faster. Much safer plug than the regular resistor.

ok great thanks for the info. Makes sence and thats why there more $. I will be putting them in there.Good old yamaha dealer trying to save a few bucks.I just bought it from them yesterday. This is why i dont take my sleds to the dealer. Id be leary even with a warranty. The same goes for my vehicles i would never ever bring it to the dealer.I could tell lots of stories about them too. I will be ordering a box of br9ecs.

Put the BR9ECS plugs in. For on thing the 8's are too hot and as others have said, ES does not dissapate heat as well which could leave part of the electrode in the cylinder. You know what that would do...
