My wifes 02 Viper ER with 4000 miles on it has lost the throttle response and at lower speeds seems almost like a bog but not quite....\
Anyway I have been using ring free because of carbon depostis do to Torco oil and the power valves are filty and I think they may be stuck) when I turn the key on the power valves from the sound seem to be have a hard time moving..
I pulled the plugs on the trail and they were full of carbon so I replaced them with no succes in performance so I am wondering if it may be the power valves sticking or piston rings sticking........Thanks for any help!1
Also I used only half of the ring free recommended because I didnt want to brake up the carbon deposits to much and cause more problems.....

Could be the power valves, carbs or clutching...check the valves 1st

Power Valves --Low end bog
I had the same problem. It turned out to be that the power vales were so dirty that it broke 1 of the cables. I think this is your problem.

Cleaning power valves
Look in the tech. section. I saw that information there.

I'd agree with the above advice. One other thought since I had a similar issue this last weekend. what was the air temp? If it was very warm (above 32) remember to turn off your carb heaters. We were in the UP and northern wisc and the temp was over 40. the sleds would have poor low throttle response once until we turned off the carb heaters.
Just a thought.
