To the sweet sound of Ohh Black Betty she finally lives again.

I fell a bit short of my goal of resurecting the beast in the same year it died, but I at least had the motor back in last night.
Fresh triples are a PITA to pull over.
Assembly lube burning off makes a lot of stinky smoke I don't care if it is Klotz.
Thinking your done and then seeing fuel dumping out the belly as it starts running like poo sucks.
Pulling the air box to find out the PTO carb drain is in the belly somewhere also sucks.
Tightening the other loose bowl drains while you're at it priceless.
Engine starting with a 6 inch pull of the go cord is a good thing.
Now hopefully it'll be a bit warmer tomorrow so I can put it on the snow.
Thanks you and good night.
Erik

unless your at elevation i wouldnt run those 45 pilots. needs 47.5's. mid range burned downs while trail cruising suck. ski
The pilots will soon be gone, like maybe today if the pilot store is open. Wasn't expecting to find 45's in there as the previous owner had supposedly set it up for -20 at sea level before I picked it up, but needle and pilot were still set for his 3000 foot baseline which is where I also do most of my riding. I think I do just enough flatland riding to want the bigger pilot.

Good to see your ride back up, now if you could do something about our current snow situation they you would be my hero.
Since you started the talk about priceless, how about refilling my chain case and after the second bottle and wondering how much it takes looking that I was standing in a puddle of chain case fluid and had forgot to put the plug back in, lol.

It's early the snow WILL come. Although the foot we have locally isn't making me want to ride much, well maybe the beater cat but not the Yammer.
Wifey REALLY loves the smell of gas soaked into the concrete combined with 2 smoke odor,at least the garage isn't attached. Removing the used sorbent pads helps quite a bit though.
