Hi guys!
Well since its raining, I decided to look into a project in making my own plastic skis for my 96 600XT. I think it has been down, but I dont remember who did it. I was to take a pair of newer yammy skis and modify them so that they will work for my sled. So if anyone has any information on this that would be great. I know some one did it I just can find who did it. Any information will help.

I just got done putting new yamaha plastic skis on my 95 phazer. I used the type with the aluminum saddles. I just had to modify the strut base(Knuckle) a bit to make them fit. should'nt take much to make them work on your Vmax.

I have some usi skis that will directly bolt up for $275 shipped complete with mounts, carbide.or if you get a set of older sx-r,srx or 02 viper skis you can get mounts for $100 a pair that will allow you to bolt them directly on.
Look up posts by "ike". He posted details and pics. I also did it on my xt. It's a matter of cutting a hole in the saddle for the bottom of the strut to go through, some washers, and shims under the saddle to make room for the strut.
