94 vmax 500 lost a ton of power

I was out riding kinda hard and out of no where i lost a ton of power.
It will barely get to 50mph
feels like its only running one 1 cyl.( got spark on both)
I swapped plugs, compression is good, 125+/- on each side
it starts up if i give it gas, and if the track is off the ground it will rev out to about 7000-7500 tops, but with horrible throttle response.
I looked at the 2nd clutch and the buttons were worn so I replaced them and reassembled the clutch.

I did notice the tors light came on right when this happened but I believe i disconnected it and still no better.
the wires I disconnected and plugged into another goto a small switch thing under a white knob right above the carbs. looks more like an idle adjustment to me.

I am out of ideas other than a bad reed what could this be from?

found the problem
the left side carb wasnt opening.
turns out the set screw that attaches to the rod between the carbs came out.
(thats weird huh?)
I reassembled it and used some loctite too. runs like a bat out of hell now that those clutch buttons are new too.

Had the same prob. on a 600,, right side flatside wasn't opening, screw
came loose.
