I recently purchased a 2004 Viper S..My drive belt is sitting about 2 mm below the edge of the secondary sheave. I understand it is supposed to sit 1 mm above the top of the sheave..Adding shims will correct this problem..Can it be done without removing the sheave and if I do this will it throw off my clutch alinement..

take the bolt off holding your clutch on, the clutch will slide right off. on the back side, there's 3 screws- take them out and replace the washers with thicker washers or add some thin ones to the ones you have to achieve your belt height & re-install screws. the further in the screws are, the lower your belt sits.

you don't have to remove the sheave, just remove the clutch and the screws are on the back side.
