Hi,
I've hear I may have problems swapping the shocks off a 2000 SXr and 2000 SRX, true? Or, can I simply bolt on? I have a lead on a pair of ohlins fronts from a 2000 SRX that's why I ask.
Thanks,

Check the parts lists on the reader on the opening page if the part numbers are the same for both sleds then they will work.Other wise you will have to measure them .

First off, they will be shorter. Second, you'd have to look at the way the rod end mounts, it is probably different.

Your answer would be no, unless you switched everything on the front end. SRX ski stance is 40.9", travel is 7", and the installed length is 223mm, the SX-R is 42.0", 9", and 262mm. You have different trailing arms, tie rods, sway bar, and radius rods.

Why would I have to change the trailing arms? I can't just bolt the bottom of the shock to the SXr trailing arm?

The caster is different on the SRX trailing arm. Which will change how your ski pressure and how the ski contacts the ground when switched.

Front end
Looks on the micro film of parts. The shock attaches to the bulkhead differenty on the two models, no? Would there be any problems there?
