89 yamaha phazer

Im gonna swith the carbs on my phazer but not to sure for which ones, so i need help to figure out which carbs to use, ive read that v-max 500 or 600 work good is this ture? also i took out the oil injection so what should i be mixing at? thanks

Any of the twins: 94-current will work. Mix at 40 or 50:1 should be fine. I ran mine at 32:1 but it was pretty modded up and I figured that oil was cheaper than motor parts. Ran it that way for 2 years without a problem.
