i noticed that there is some rotational play in the secondary shaft on my 97sx700....is this something that is normal for this sled or should i open up the crank case and have a look at the top gear.....
this problem is not to be confused with the play in the secondary clutch as i have the clutch off right now.

A little play is normal.
you should have about 1/4" play in your chain.
chain is a little loose, whens the last time you changed the oil and checked the tension?

ive got the chain tensioner snugged up finger tight and i changed the chaincase oil last year
