Okay this sucks so I gotta ask for some tips. Trying to put my Bender pipes back on the Viper and I am having problems with the center and pto pipes. Mag is easy but the other two are a major PITA! Anybody have any secrets that make this easier? Seems like you need to have four arms to get both these suckers lined up and in at the same time. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

Jeez, don't get me started on fitting those Benders.
Two people helps a lot. Leave the silencer loose (no spring), leave the little joiner pipe off. Mag side on first (don't forget the high-temp silicone - get the stuff at the hardware store - YamaBond costs three times as much and is the same stuff). Also, don't forget the little rubber pad that sits on the silencer platform.
After the mag side is on, leave it a little off the silencer, fit the other two pipes together and ease them in as a unit. Work them into the manifolds. As you know, getting that lined up is the hard part, and it helps to have one person holding the fat parts and the other guy holding and guiding the necks into the manifold. It may require some muscle, and may even require some tap-tap with a rubber mallet.
After they're in, put the little connector pipe on and then brute-force (gentle brute force) them onto the silencer. A longish spring tool is very helpful for the springs, as is a pair of vise-grips for the PTO side pipe.
I was careful to wrap the powervalve cables with some
Moose Heat Shield stuff because I've had one cable burn-through and one cable wear the plastic wrap off.
With two people, it ended up being pretty easy. Hope it works for you. There's an article on installing the Benders at Off-Road.com
Mine were off to send them to get ceramic-coated, and while off, I did all that basic maintenance that's impossible to do with those triple's on.

Thanks for the tips. I checked out Benders website and they have a download of the install instructions which mentioned having two people as well. I'm trying this myself and it is a real pain. I've got the mag on 100% and managed to get the other two close to where they need to be. Seems getting them onto the manifolds together and aligned with the silencer would be much easier with an extra set of hands. I gave up for today and will tackle it tomorrow when I can round up a helper.
All this work for a set of Ohlins! It would be a 10 minute job on a stocker, but turns into hours of hell with the pipes! It did give me a chance to clean up a little "down under" in the bellypan where all the grime collects.
Oh, that coating on your pipes looks awesome. It's been running through my mind to do that, but I'd probably scratch it all off trying to put em' back in!

DOH! I was thinking pretty hard about a set of Ohlin's. It didn't occur to me that those #$%&$ pipes would have to come off again to get them installed.

Yeah, there's now way in God's creation that you are going to swap shocks without pulling those suckers! To top it all off the top shock bolts feel like they are torqued to about 400 ft. lb. and the clearance around the bolt leaves MUCH to be desired. Hey, it's worth it for those gold ressy clickers!
While we are on the subject of Benders, how do you like yours? I know most on here favor SLP's, but I have no complaints with the Benders (other than the install fitment!) and feel that they perform flawlessly on my sled. Sled always feels consistent and just runs like a clock.

When I put them on a couple of years ago, Benders were the only game in town. They have about 3000 miles on them, along with V-Force reeds and spacers. The sled does scoot, and it's been completely reliable and completely consistent, even when run/jetted/clutched at altitude from West Yellowstone up to the Snowy Range. No complaints about performance or reliability.

4000 on mine, although it was top ended at 3700 or so just for the heck of it! Sounds like we are set up pretty similar. V-force reeds, rear cooler, Opticool etc. Gotta love it!
