Need help.
Think stator is bad on my 1999 xtc 700.
Dealer checked stator output, checked o.k.
only acks up after riding for a few miles.
replaced coils and cdi box, still same problem.
will stator off of a 97 700 work?????????????
if not, what will or is 1999 the only one that will.
need to test ride before all snow is gone, or will be forced
to wait till next season.

The 97 stator will work fine. They often will test good but will be hooped!

Stator swapping
Any stator from a V Max with the single headlight system should work fine for you,the dual headlight ones have a higher output.
