I just bought a used set of SLP triple pipes and wondered if anyone could recomend clutch/jet settings. I have a 98 MM stock except for the airbox and headgasket mods (2 layers removed) and ride between 6000-8000 feet. I currently have 133.8 133.8 and 135s and I'm not sure what clutch springs, 70 degrees on the secondary. Any tips? I also bought a 144 track and want to update the skid approach angle, any input on whose kit is better? MPI or Hartman?

On SLP's site look up your pipes and they have installation instructions
along with a jetting and clutching chart. Or you could e-mail them your
question, they've helped me out a couple times.

Follow SLP's charts and they will get you real close. As for which kit, I have had both. I had a 144 from MP and it performed OK. I have since went with Hartman's 159" and love it. MP's kit has a little better fit and finish, but the Hartman kit is a better quality kit. Tom knows his stuff and he can also get you clutched, geared and jetted dead-on. As for customer service, that's where Tom Hartman shines. He handles all the calls and is VERY helpful.
