I know the stock setting is aprox. 1 1/8 out. With the motor ported it has been set at 1 1/2 turns out. The carbs have the stock jetting, my question is should I turn the air screws out more or leave them at 1 1/2 out.The motor
top end, new cylinders, pistons, etc.) only has about 100 miles on it, it seems to run fine just want to check before I reinstall the carbs. Thank you for any help.. By the way it's a 2001 SRX

thats a fuel screw in the carb, I would imagine that youd want to leave it where your at 1.5 turns out, you most likely have aggressive clutching in the sled and can use a bit extra fuel from the start.

By 1.5 turns out, that is assuming that the fuel screw is as tight as it can be from the start? I think mine may be turned out more than 1.5 turns because I was having a lean condition at idle. Are there disadvantages to having the screws too rich?
