hey i have a 98 srx 700 with a cold air kit stock jetting 192 studs in a 3/4 inch track i have a heel clicker kit using the red primary spring with 3.3 in tip 3.3 in base and 4.6 in the shoulder, green secondary spring with the stock helix at 60 degree twist problem is the sled only hits about 8100 rpm and somtimes drops to 8000 or 7900 any ideas on how i can hit my proper rpms should be between 8400 and 8500 right?

Not sure what Turk will say, but I'd check your plugs and power valves, make sure things are as they should be.

Also, describe your rpm for a run with good traction, from a stop to top end, what is your rpm doing? With that small lugged track, I would think you're spinning alot...?

Good luck!

Remove middle 3.3 gram weight. Should be close & if overrevs maybe add 1 gram in tip.

you need more twist on the secondary spring, like at 70-80. I personally would get a 48-40 helix in the sled then move all your weight to the tip (5-6 grams total in tip hole)and leave the middle empty.

run the 98-99 srx at 83-8400rpm

run the sxr at same rpm range if single pipe yet.

using just the stock helix for now what is my best setup on the srx same as what you said moving the weight to the tip? and tightening my secondary a bit?

4.6 in the heel and 3.3-4.3 in the tip, with 70 degree twist and a green spring worked very good when my SRX was still a 700. ;)!
