Can someone please tell me how this Yamaha credit works? If you get approved for say $7,000 or something can it be used to buy anything the dealer sells? Even a used snowmobile? I tried to find more information on their site but I couldn't anything. I'm asking because I was thinking about buying a new snowmobile but didn't get approved for enough. So I'm trying to find out if I can still use the Yamaha credit to buy something used that they have.
Thanks a lot for the help.

It depends. If you were approved for a Yamaha revolving credit you can use it for any purchases. If you were approved for a loan thru Yamaha credit for a specific machine than it will only be good for that machine. Ask your dealer...he will know what he can sell you.

I think it must have been for the loan then because it was $79 a month payments with zero down.
Can you apply for their revolving credit online?

when i got the yamaha credit card i bought my first srx & all the gear.& it didnt take notime to run that 10,000 limit up. just cant get enough
i think yamaha credit is a joke. your far much better off to get financing through your local credit union or bank. ive been turned down 3 times by yamaha credit. each time i was approved shortly after by my bank. they make no sense to me.

Yamaha credit is usually a revolving line of credit with a program tied to it, ie. zero down zero payments for 6 months etc. and is usually different for different machines. Snowmobiles may have a different program than say a Rhino would. It's a good way to buy a machine for nothing down and low payments - I bought my viper with no down and $39/mo for 2 years and then I will just pay it off. It looks like they use credit scoring along with income guidelines to qualify. A dealer can send for approval in a matter of minutes. If you do get it, don't miss a payment, cause then you fall out of the program and it turns into a credit card.

Take a look at that intrest rate on that yamaha card.... it will scare you away....
I got a loan from my credit union and used my sleds as collateral, they were doing a snowmobile season special... 3% intrest. I borrowed as much as they would allow against the two sleds and payed off my car note....

how good of a deal depends on what the current program is. A lot of time you can get 0% or zero down or something of that nature. If you're just wanting to make payments go to your bank or credit union.
