sorry to get back to you so late.
There is a write up some where on here about cutting and welding the stock transfer rods and putting a segment that allows adjustment. Gary from Maxx Performance told me that they used to cut the washer off the stock transfer rods and relocate and weld them like an inch up the stock rod and then use white plastic washers (that were split) as spacers to make the adjustments as track conditions required. I guess the class they were racing in (asphalt drags I think) required stock transfer rods....
But you'd have to be sure you were the same distance on both sides and then if you were on a trail and lost a washer....I'm not sure what would happen but it probably wouldn't be the best for the sled.
I got back my shocks and they look like brand new. I was a little sticker shocked but then again I did end up with basically a new rear shock and I had it re-valved plus the new front spring from Yamaha isn't cheap....
