I tried to find the post but couldn't but someone here said SRX owners could raise the front of the sled to match a long travel rear by flipping and swaping the front brackets from side to side.Does this apply to Ohlins shocks or does it matter?I have the Maxx long travel rear now and Advantage Edge extensions on my front shocks so would I gain anything or not and what affect will this have on the cornering of the sled? Thanks

I did this to my old srx and it worked real well. Raised the front end 1.25"
You will have to remove a bit of material from the bracket to get it to fit.

Did this on my 2001 SRX when I put Viper rear shocks on it. You will need to slot the mounting holes in the brackets in oposite direction to each other. This allows the clevis to line up with the shock eyelet. Also need about three flat washers under both ends of the bracket for clearence of the frame. The top of the spring retainer may hit the mounting bracket as well. Look close at it when you flip them over. Mine are very close but, don't seem to rub. Mine isn't what I would call long travel. It does sit a couple inches higher than stock, rides a ton better, gets good traction and handles as good as with stock set up. The mounts can be put back to original sides if needed after the modifications. Done that too. Got my advice on this from betheviper.
