I'm looking to put a longer throttle cable on my 98 SRX since I installed a Rox riser makes the original a bit tight and would like to know what the length is on a newer SRX.Mabey a Mountain Max cable would give me the length I need too so if someone could give me a lenght on one of those would be great.

Thanks guys but upon further consideration I think I'm going to have to replace my oil pump cable as well with a longer one.If not I think that extension will work.
i thougth the power madd extionsions where junk. I couldn't get the one end of the cable to stay in because there isn't a place to put the clip. there's a groove on the other end the extension itself but not on the yammie cable. it's the only extension i could find that would reach. i just zip tied it to the riser. if anyone has a good fix that would be sweet.

Your going to have to fiddle around with it for a quite a while to get it to fit, but what eventually is going to happen is that the case will clamp onto the cable keeping it from moving when you tighten the little screws.
Iv also heard somewhere that this extesnion doesnt work on yamaha;s but it works just fine on mine!

Yes. I bought a set of MM cables on ebay for $15. They worked great on my SX, you have the same motor so they should work. they added 4". If you want to go longer I think 03 Mtn Viper cables work to and add 6".
