What Blue Wire Do I Cut?

Someone here the other day provided me directions on how to install the wiring for my heated shield. They said cut the blue wire and splice into it. When I looked under the handle bars there are about 4 blue wires. Does it matter which one I cut. It was a bit dark so I could see at least two fo the blue wires went to the grips it looks like.

Is the ground screw located by the wires under the handle bars or is it the bolt to the left of the air box if you are sitting on the sled. This bolt you need to lift the hood to see.

Thanks for everyones help I did get the silncer installed. The only question I have is it does not look like the pipes from the silncer that go into the muffker pipes fit in all the way. Should I put some sort of exhaust goo (Not Sure Of The Technical Name) around where they connect together? If so does it go on the outside seam or should I wipe some on the outside pipe of the exhast that the silncer pipes slide over a bit?

Thanks

The blue wire with the white stripe that goes to your dimmer switch.
Rather than cut the wire, I used my soldering iron to melt away the insulation from the wire. tinned it. tinned the wire for the shield, tacked them together using the iron, and taped it up real nice.

Is there only one wire under there that has a white stripe? When you are talking about the dimmer are you refering to the high beam low beam switch? I believe I saw two blue wires going in that direction. Probally one goes to the handle grip and the other to the high beam low beam. I just do not want to cut the wrong blue wire with white strip if there are multi ones which I believe there were.

Thanks

Should only be one wire with the white stripe. Trace it to the left side block, it will go to the dimmer switch. Don't cut the wire, just solder it, that way if you have the wrong wire you can easily fix the mistake. The blue with ehite wire worked on my 05 Venom and my 04 Viper.

I wired mine to the solid blue wire under the handle bar pad for the brake light switch. The blue and white wire should be for the Hi/Lo beam switch. Either one should work. Do not cut the wire. Strip the wire casing, spread the wire so you can stick your heated shield wire through and solder it. I grounded the heated shield with the airbox mounting bolt.

I just did mine on an Attak yesterday. Do as they mentioned above by peeling the insulation from the wire and then soldering it to the exposed wire. I went to the solid blue going to the headlight dimmer/bright switch. I grounded the other wire to the handlebar bolt since it was the closest one.
