just wondering if anyone else cracked the bulkhead under the jackshaft on the clutch side? it dose't look to serious but any ideas if welding it will work? it caused my jackshaft bearing to disinigrate also, or is it the other way, the jackshaft bearing caused the bulkhead to crack from stress of being blown?? the bearing also took out my jackshaft so i'll need a new one!! would hitting a ice ridge on a lake at 90 mph cause this?

yes you should be able to get it welded. the bearing could have caused it
Hitting the ice ridge could have also . You should check your rails for cracks also.

thanks wilson, i'm from winnipeg also, well actually beausejour, hit the ice ridge on my way to bird lake a couple a weeks ago. missed one but hit the other. what a ride we had, morning was great but the evening on the way back, talk about slush on the lakes, just terrible. it was almost like riding in a boat with the waves we were making.

no, i plan on 1 more run this year, most likely a lake run from lac du bonnet to anywere in the area. i bought a set of bender triples and will get them monday hopefully and would like to try them out before i put the sled away. can't wait to see how they will work with the other mods i got on my sled. got them off the other site ty.net for 250 shipped. a good deal i would say!
