I was wondering if anyone can tell me all that is involved in swaping my viper skid for another from a different sled, something like a Skidoo SC10 III? I am considering making a summer project for me but i would like to find out all that is involved first. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Just do it

To change the skid would involve taking the viper skid out and figuring out exactly what skid you are going to put in, then installing it :o| . LOL! Seriously though, you can put in any after market or other OEM skid.....it's all a matter of figuring it out and doing it. People on here have done just about everything. I'd be glad to help you with Expert X. Monker put a Firecat skid in his SX and I know there have been Ski-Doo and Polaris skids done too. Figure out what you want to do (I suggest the search option) then you will know what specific questions to ask and who to ask them to.

all you need to do is get the measurements from a sled that originally had the suspension that you want to install. below is an example of what you need to measure. its easy to do. measure your new holes, make sure a plate is around the hole and drill 4 new holes. the most important thing to do is to measure accuratly. if its off just an 1/8" you can have geometry issues!
