Primary spring

I have some 8ab's on the way and a 51/45 helix for my 600 venture. Should I also change out the o-s-o spring

You guys keep talking about colors on the primary spring.... mine is all black. No other paint on it.

no there is paint on it it is painted on the coiles with tuch up paint if you look you will see it

Look in the tech pages under changing clutch components you'll see what he means. Now you could also have an aftermarket spring.

I've had this spring in the house under a good light.... it is black and only black. No other paint on it. Trust me!

It's probaly an EPI spring named YPS-1

Newf there cheap and should be changed every other year.Had springs break before but had about 5 k on them they do last in snow, on ice with good tration is were they are going to fail.A2B BOY!
