Top End Same Or Not?

Hi Guys Have A ? Do Srx 700s All Have The Same Cilender And Cyl Head Like A 99 Vs 01 Some Peaple Say Thay Are The Same But Part# Seem To Be Slightly Different.

as far as i know98-99 were the same,2000 up had diff. porting.(diff cylinders)thats why you can add a base gasget,and shave the head on 98 and 99's and get 6-7 hp. same as 00 and up.

So Is 2000 An Up The Same On Cyl. And What About The Heads Are Thay Different Between Years ?

cylinders differnt porting, so are the heads(differnt), the heads are tighter on the 2000-02 srx, the 98-99 are the same, but dont interchange unless a set of 3, differnt squish and volumes.

8dn-00 are the 98-99 stuff, the 2000 and newer is the 8dn-10 markings on both cylinders and heads.
