Yamaha question regarding trailing arms

I need to replace the trailing arm (right side) on my 02 SXViperER.

Would a trailing arm from a 03 Mountain Viper work? Would I need different radius rods for that to work....if so, probably not the best solution.

Thanks,
VV

I think that the mtn arms will mount up but according to the yamaha fiche there are 2 different types of arms. I think that the difference is the lack of a sway bar mount. Maybe someone else on here could provide a little more insight or correct me if I'm wrong.

Just spoke with local Yamaha dealer...part numbers for trailing arms don't match.

1) 02 Viper - #8DM
2) 03 Mountain Viper - #8EN

The parts guy didn't know what the difference is. He couldn't provide me with a resource to find out! Per picture posted by Maxdlx the T/A looks exactly the same as mine EXCEPT who knows the measurements? I would buy it, if I knew it would work on my sled.

Regardless of damage my T/A is ridable "as is" (dented, no kinks). During the last few March rides, I didnt have any issues with handling. Since last season it has rusted and looks terrible! No huge hurry on this, but I would like to find a used Yamaha silver T/A (right only) that would fit. I've checked Ebay and no luck...yet :-)

If anyone runs across one, please give me a shout!
Thanks,
VV
