I few weeks ago I blew my srx 700 and replaced everything with new parts. The parts I replaced were the heads, pistons, and the crank shaft. I t has been freshly rebuilt and i am wonddering how many miles i have to put on it before I can go full throttle every once in awhile like I did before. let me know asap

well

If you put the old rings in the old cylinders, then just add 1/2 qt oil in the fuel tank fill it up, ride it for about 100 miles in varied throttle posistion, then drop the hammer. If it has new rings go about 150 miles. I never break one in, I ride it like i stole it with the extra oil. Maxdlx

break in

So no diverse affects for not taking break in procedures? What will happen if you just go full throttle without the mileage? I have the old cylinders and new rings.

Did you cross-hatch the cylinders to help the new rings seat?

Usually for the first tank you want to avoid sustained WOT runs. That means that WOT is fine, just don't keep it there. After the first tank of gas let er rip.

You will just have less compression ,no big deal on a two stroke they burn the oil any way . I had a guy that works at my yamaha dealer tell me that with nicasil ,if it starts its broken in .

No if you don't hone the cylinder to restore the cross hatch you could have slightly lower compression . As far as break in on a nickasil cylinder its broken in as soon as you start it ,as far as I can tell there is nothing to break in . I also used to add oil to the gas but I read an article on rebuilding two strokes and they said not to do that so I don't.
