i had a 2003 viper and it caught on fire but the engine is still good, now i got a 2004 viper.I might trade my engine for the srx engine, but i dont know if it would fit in the viper??

Why do you want to put the SRX engine in the Viper?
And they are the same engine besides better porting on the Viper motor. The SRX makes more power mostly due to its triple pipes in comparison with the Viper.

clean the 03 engine up and sell it, pick up some SLP pipes for your 04 and get your 04 ported. those 2 things are about what the motor is worth. you'll have about 20 more HP than a stock srx!!!
