I noticed my viper has been using lots of oil, about 3 quarts per hundred miles, so tonight I was looking for a leak, but what I found was that the oil cable was extended out of the rubber sleave under the hood making it pull about 1/2 inch more than it normally does, so it's been over oiling. I might put a wire tie around the top of this so it fits snug - I must have pulled it out when I installed my riser in the handle bars.

i just done the same thing 2 nights ago, i noticed it right away cause the throttle lever wouldnt hit the bar

same happened to me. the cable was routed between the bar riser. once I moved it to the side I have no more problems
