I'm picking up a 51/43 helix for my 2004 SX Venom and I was going to keep the stock weights on (i.e. 8dg). Some people were saying to go with the 8ab weights.

What happens if I leave the stock weights on(8dg)? What would be the difference in acceleration/power between 8dg and 8ab weights?

Thanks...

8AB's have a much more aggressive low end and midrange profile for more aggressive acceleration. A multi-angle will still help you with stock weights, but it will help even more with the 8AB's. The stock 8DG's are fairly conservative.

The 51/43 with stock weights work fine. Your still gonna have to add heavier rivets but bolt the helix in & check rpm,s & add weight accordinglt till you get 8400-8600 rpm solid.
