What's the rule of thumb on re-ringing or a rebuild job on a 02 SRX? Mine has about 3700 miles and 120,120,121pto side compression. Runs and starts perfect. Just don't want to have serious problems. I always use yamalube. THANKS....

I would not touch it untill at least 5000 miles. Tsiceman has 7000 on his 99 SRX and it is as strong as day one.
I just rebuilt my SX with 7000 on it. All it really needed was reeds and I would of been good for another season but I went through the whole sled.

You shoul get at least another 5000 miles before you have to re ring. I would do it at 7000 miles..

Re Ring
Those numbers look pretty decent compaired to each other however, they seem kind of low overall. My 00 with 10,000 miles has 127/127/128 PSI.

I agree,,are you using good comp. gauge??
Also if you have access to a leak down tester that would be great too
that would tell you for shure how healthy your motor is.

We got srx's around here that have the speedo showing 25k kms and they just did the rings last year and they still were not needed to be done... Also the cylinders still had the cross etching.

Nickasil cylinders dont wear very fast with good oil, but rings do. Check for blowby and if there is any, replace them.
