i have a 1997 et410 with backshift problems. the clutch on it is the same as older vmax /venture/phazer secondary. dealer has cleaned and set it recently but still feels like its not reving up properly/shifting when i go in the powder off the trail. is it possible to put a newer stle secondary off a sx series sled on it so i can roller it and change the helix angles for better back shift/performance?

How old is the spring? You may have to wind it tighter or try a different one.

I had a Phazer that did about the same thing. I went to the next shallower helix and solved my problem. The Phazer at the time had about 5000 miles on it and I am sure I was down on power.

sticky secondary
i was out for a couple of hours on this sled and i noticed all my power is at the bottom. now my primary is growling and this is first run since dealer had it. today the snow was wet so it acted the same as it does in 3' of powder. im callin dealer in mornin.
