After 3+ years of flawless turn key performance and reliability, great gas mileage, and great power I am deciding to go the other direction and get a sled that has less power, worse gas mileage, and most importantly less reliable. In other words I am looking for a REV X package Renegade 800 or a X package Rev MXZ to slap a 136" under or an extreeeeeeeeeemely good deal on a M7 with a 141".

I will undoubtedly have extreem sellers remorse and the first time my new sled breaks down 20 miles back in the mountains I will kick my own arse, but I am ready for something new. I would rather have a new yamaha but with the REV chassis and out of this world power to weight I am just left with no choice and until yamaha has a 4 stroke under 500 lbs and 140 HP I just cant take that step. Hopefully the boys in blue will have something in 3-4 years so i will have a reason to come back to the blue side.

My question is what to ask for my current sled (thinking $4K ish) so I need your alls opinions..........

Thanks guys.

youve got a lot of money into that thing, did you keep your stock stuff as well, alot of the custom stuff would make you more money if you took it off and sold it separate, pending that you kept the stock accessories. You should be able to get more than four thousand i would think.

I looked at the used NADA on a 121 03 viper yesterday. They showed 4,500 high and 3,600 low. Granted they are different machines, but it sounds like 4,000 is a little low. Don't give 'er away, to many goodies. JMO

hey, part it out for us ak boys....., mod sleds dont go for much.....i got a special spot under the mtn fit hood for some slp's.....hook us up!

ak ryda: Do you mind if i ask what kind of throttle/oil wires, and brake line you used on that viper mountain, to raise yours bars that much?

Wondering about this on my viper..

C-bolt, I will sell you the pipes for $4500 and throw the rest of the sled in for free!

Ola, I am running stock mtn viper cables. They are totally maxed out. The mtn viper cables are longer than trail viper cables. Also the FLY Aero Bars are not as tall as stock mtn viper bars without the risers.

Ok! Perhaps i should buy mnt cables then..

Would you do me a favour, and measure the lenght from the very bottom of youre riser block, and up to where the handlebar-grips are?

I measured mine to be approx 220mm, and i am thinking about rising it another 50mm/2 inches at least..

A little unsure, since i havent tried riding with so high handlebars before.. Afraid that riding, sitting down, will be very uncomfortable...
Any thought about this? Is it comfortable enough for sitting down for a little while?

Sorry for the off-topic.. answer me in a PM if you don`t want this in youre thread :)

trying to sell the wife on your sled, but i dont think its working. 4500 is a good deal, it should go quick. good luck.

bye the way, i cant blame you. i got spanked up the hill by my buds 02 800 rmk mod. (he only paid 3k for it and a 2 place drive on/off trailer) when i got well over 10K to get where im at. I really need pipes. oh well, its still tons better than stock.
