question on rear heat exchanger for a 97 twin 600 vmax?
hello,
97 vmax twin 600 xtc (stock sled)
I noticed that i do not have a rear heat exchanger on my sled.
I see that there it only a pipe that connects from left to right.
My question is would it be wise to put a different rear heat exchanger on?
I noticed that the 94-96 use a L shape exchanger that is what brought this whole question about.
If you would put a different one on what would you go with?
any info would be great
thanks for your time.

YOU BET!!! what you need to do is find one from a sx or or vm deluxe any older pro action trip. cyl. will work good.
i found one off a 97 700 sx,works great my sled runs alot cooler now!!!!!

I would think this would be handy this season... warmer temps and less snow mean warmer running machines.... the thought of adding a rear cooler has crossed my mind also.

I tell ya WF it maid a heck of a difference on my XTC, you can run it
stop and feel the jugs with your hand and it's alot cooler to the touch
than it was before the extra cooler.
Best thing i ever did for the old girl.
