Fellas,
I'm buying a SRX and the swaybars are missing on it. Does anyone know if the sled can be ridden like this? The sled was drag raced so I'm sure that they took them off for weight. What do they cost?

Thanks

it can be riden my buddy took teh one out of his mxz what they do is just when one side travels up it pulls teh otehr up too to keep the sled flat. u can ride it but it will be more tipsy then if it had it and u might ahve more front end botoming.

Busted a bolt on my swaybar when I crashed into a crick last weekend in the Hills. Way tippier without the bar. ;):D

if you ride in the mountains mostly...youll enjoy not having the bar but as for the trails it is much more tipsy on the throttle, braking and in the turns wich lowers your cornering speed

definately more tippy without the bar, and a lot more unstable through the bumps

i think you have to drill out the rivets where it goes through the belly and reinstall new rivets or nuts & bolts when you put it back in. i'd like to know how big of a job it is too, cause i was also looking at the cb perfomance sway bar.

It is very easy to do. The CB perf bar makes a huge difference, to the posistive. You will need a good hole saw for the install, but it is worth the work. Maxdlx

maxdlx- a HOLESAW? and my viper? just the sound of that makes my forehead sweat!LOL-- jk. fill us in- do you cut a hole where the old one went through? does it make a big difference in handling?

Our swaybar kit is not a very difficult install. All you need is a grinding tool to take material off of the bulkhead. With the stock swaybar opening, it is a square hole in the bulkhead and you just have to grind it out into a round hole and push the bar through the bulkhead. Then just use the links provided and bolt it up. The handling gets improved greatly and will take more abuse. Let me know if you have any other questions about the swaybar kit.
