How come nobody talks much about the big bore kits by Price Performance. The 1000cc kit seems pretty cheap. Now I see they have 1100 and 1200cc stroker kits claiming 240 - 250 trail reliable hp on pump gas. Anyone have any experience with these, or are they junk????

well it seems cheap till you know how much machine work is involved to get the topend ready to run, that stuff is just rough set up, meaning you have to size the cylinders, plate them, port them, set up heads, machine dome, machine squishangles, set up case, nothing is set up, you will have a easy $1500 extra in machine work, plus nicasil plating, pistons, etc, it quickly turns into $5k motor real fast when you get done. I looked into doing 1 and its alot of work, not something the average guy can build.

Damn it, you just ruined my dream of building a 1200cc lake srx. I am the average guy and no, I can't do any of that.......unless.....hmmmmm...........what do you have going on this summer Don????

without letting the cat out of the bag I am working on something big right now, (1000+cc's ) and its gonna be reasonable $$$$$$$ to build for people. stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.....lol

I think you can give us some specs, we won't tell anyone else in the general forum. Besides, I have a sticker on my sled that says "IN DON WE TRUST", thats gotta be worth sumthin???? I'm going past Toledo now, don't make me come over there.

Mr. Viper is absolutly right. I had 2-1000 ski doo pro stock Price motors built by Benoit and by the time your done it's well beyond 5K. Don't get me wrong it's a nice kit, but it ain't cheap. I (not to long ago) had Price build me a 1200 stroker motor for the ice. All new....Ski Doo base, Falicon crank, new cylinders, ignition, brand new ZX chassis, and on and on and on..lol. "If it ain't broke throw enough stuff at it til it is".

About $6k for the motor in my 1000 SRX that Iantomassi Track N Trail built and that's 250hp on race fuel. It ain't cheap to go fast. On the other hand, I know of a fellow building a new motor who will take payments in $9 installments each month to help him with his DSL bill. LMAO!

srxspec............. :Moon:

LMFAO......................I dont know nothin, I have never seen a snowmobile before, I make all this stuff up, I see pink elephants walking around, the sky is red, my hobby is working on plastic big wheel trikes by fisher price and making them go 50mph....................... ;):D

Thats it, I hope you can fit an 18 wheeler in there. Don't think I won't be able to find ya either, I see fresh snow here in Ohio and I'll just follow sled tracks till I get there.

Atleast tell me if its a stroked motor or just a big big bore. I want to start looking for cases.
