$1000 worth of upgrades this year, got 5 laps around my field by myself, and it's been pouring rain ever since. We lost pretty much all the snow cover we had and will have to start over. The only riding i've done so far was a recon mission two weeks ago to see if the trails were alright, they weren't but that's why we were on the women's phazers. I just came from Island Pond (sledding capital of Vermont) and it was a ghost town. They cancelled two poker runs and a dog sled race for this weekend. Screw you mother nature! I feel better.

Last year at this time, we had tons of snow....

We've gotten like 40-50mm of rain in the last 5 days...and freezing rain, and sleet...

It was -7C here yesterday, but still had freezing rain

Bad bad year for us....

Hey Chilli, i just got back from Cochrane yesterday, rode all they way to Hornepayne and back, beautiful trails, tonnes of snow. I drove 6 and a half hours but it was worth it. How about Nippising? lots of ice? theres a radar run in two weeks isn't there? :2strokes:

Yeah, 2 days ago I was flooding an ice rink on the river by our ice shack and making hockey nets out of 2x4s at -25c with the wind, now theres 6 inches of water all around the shack. Talk about crappy weather...

Same story in the mid-west. We had a good December: Got real cold, froze the river over with about a foot of ice and ever since Christmas...nothing.
I got 300 miles in December and nothing in January so far. Last Sunday my nephue and I did some testing on the river. It was 58 degrees! We didn't were hats or gloves, kind of like riding a motorcyle. Maybe the tide is about to turn. The jet stream moved back south and they are talking about a snow storm Friday and Saturday through the midwest.
When I graduated high school I baught a 1975 GPX 433. Rode it so much that winter that in the spring I couldn't get it started cause the rings were wore out and it had no compression! This weather reminds me why I quit riding snowmobiles 15 years ago. But I still love these dambed things.

Godd luck to the rest of you guys.

All my riding in the younger dsays was up in Kirkland Lake, and same story there....usually riding from end on Nov to mid april

here in north bay, I went for 1 tour, 2 weekends ago....since then RAIN

Just yesterday, we had a winter storm warning, predicting 25 cm of snow...and I was pumped....ALL OF IT CAME AS RAIN!!! maybe 1 cm of snow just to add insult to injury

Anyhow, snow is spozda be on its way...so we'll see.
