My trip over the weekend was cut short due to the mag side crank seal disappearing and leaning that side out enough to cause the rings to brake apart.A piece came up and banged around on the top of the piston and into the head so now I am looking to try and fix these marks. The very center of the head is'nt marked up only the outer edges, but some of the marks are deep enough to make me think I'm buying a new head too.Has anyone sucessfully fixed damage like I'm trying to describe and how did you do it?Thanks.

I just smoothed it out with a little die grinder ,got most of it out the deep marks fill in with carbon in a short time .I have been riding it like that for a year now with no problem .

Did the same on two of my Phazers. Engine wise, they're both stock and no symptoms/problems in over two years.
