electric sheild hook up?

i need to hook up connections for elec. sheils on my 2000 phazer, it has no elec. start. and i need to hook up the same on my 02 viper but it has elec start. where are the best hook ups for these?

blue wire behind the headlight dimmer switch, might be blue white on the Viper

Just did mine and I cut into the blue wire going to the high beam low beam and ground it on one of the screws that hold the handle bars in place.
