I just wanted to let you guys know that up here in maine we got alot of rain, packed all the snow so that it was solid. Me and my Buddy with his 03' Rev 800 with 5,800 miles on, lined them up until about 80 mph because their were ice patches here and there. I beat him by about 1-1/2 sled lengths. My viper only has v-force reeds, slp can and 192 chisel tooths. Thought that was great!

dont get your hopes up, i had a viper last year and raced a 500ss rev and we were in a field and he beat me to 80 by 3 sleds then i started walking away. i had studs he didnt. i know have a 500ss rev. and it will beat anything to 75-80. even my dads rx-1

i was going to say the same thing. My cousin has a 500ss adrenaline with fett brothers clutching and it is decent but nowhere NEAR my srx or sx 700r in 10 feet or 10 miles.
 
i run toe to toe with my buddies 800 rev, and pull away up top... all i have is a clutch kit, transfer rods, 1" track with 144 studs. i beat a 600 HO a few weeks back, and i know i could smoke a 500ss (really a 600, but ski-doo has to be different i guess)
 
Hey 500ss! I will be in Cadillac this weekend, I will race you with my Viper anylength you choose and I guarantee you that you wont be close. Next weekened my daughter will have her 99 Phazer there also. See ya there!
 
You guys must be racing some slow rev 800's w/bad rings(they could be 03's with 9T drive sprockets) I had a late release 03'Blairmorgan that was fast..Side by side my buddies 03'RX-1 to the top end-his speedo said 120someplus-mine said 108 maybe. My 98' and 00' SRX's were faster... To give 500SS some credit- the 500SS skidoo's are DIALED in from the factory and they are very quick up to 60mph...I'd even bet the 500SS could take most single pipe 700 sx's/vmax's up to 80mph(not piped) . Gotta stick up for ya 500ss -I ride doos too. I know this is not dootalk!!! Problem is everybody's experiences are different-whatever . My dad surprised ALOT of people with his 88'phazer-no joke...this was also 8-10 years ago too.
 
he does have an '03, and another friend has a '05 renagade 800, and can't pull away from my viper... guess i have a strong one or something.
