I have quick adjustable transfer rods on an 01 srx installed by the previoius owner. Don't know who's they are (definetly not Bender though.) More lines below the adjustment nut (closest to rail) means more ski pressure right?

More lines below the adjustment nut = more ski pressure?
Adjustment nut all the way down towards rail, no lines showing = minimum ski pressure?

Please help and thanks in advance!

move the nut up for more weight transfer, but you will have to try it out,you will know if you have more weight transfer, the sled will hook up better on hardpack snow.just dont crank them up all the way and ride it this way all the time or you will break stuff.just adjust to find a good balance between ski pressure and traction.you will have to play with it,cause i dont know how yours work, but this is the procedure for the maxximum performance quick rods.

Same situation

Well, I just got an 02 SRX that has the transfer rods on the rear skid; recommendations for a larger man; i.e. I'm 6 ft. and about 260 lbs. (combo of musle and flab, but lately, more flab :)

Is it just reallyu "adjust by feel" or is there more "science" to it?

Thanks for the replies.

In the immortal words of Tony the Tiger: "This site is grrreeaattt!"

no science to it....you want more traction, turn them up,you want more ski pressure, turn them down.or somewhere in the middle for balance between the two.mine are on the 4 line..also the more you turn them up this will also give you a little softer ride.
