i upgraded the ski stopper from the factory steel ski,to a set for a 98srx and as you can see in the pictures how the factory ski stopper tipps the ski down putting more pressure on the front of the carbide. this results in darting.i would highly recommend this for anyone who has the factory steel skis or have change to composite skis on the 97-99 sx,xt,xtc models.the pair cost 22.95.here are some pictures to show a side by side difference on how the skis plane when the sled is jacked up and the skis are dangling.Part no.8CS-23743-00-00
this issue will also wear your carbides unevenly.the front of the skag will wear out first, until it wears right to the threaded rod that holds it in the ski.

With the little piece I attached I ended up with about the same hight as the SRX part. Next stop to the dealer I am going to order a set. Thanks for the good info.

you may still have to tinker with your set up even with thease blocks
