What do guys think of the dayco? I have brand new one ready to go but I don't know any thing about them. This is for an 01 srx. Came with the sled when I bought it used.

i could never get them to last.i would keep it as a spare and run the oem 8dn belt as your primary belt.

there is no substitute for the yami belt, not sure who makes them. also and correct me if i'm wrong, it's not the best idea to jump brands because clutches are setup for a certain belt and there are differences between brands although minute.

no they dont the oem is the best imo for longevity. an ultimax 3 will give u a little better lowend imo it seems to sit hgher on the secondary but they dont last nearly aslon and are easy to burn spots if ur breaking any trails or anything that puts alot of extra force on the belt.

how many miles was on it. i just replaced teh original, that i put back on cause i burnt the ultimax3 i bought, and it had aroun 2000 miled on it and it got to thin and i was WOT across the lake and it cought my secondarys ramp in teh center with one of teh cogs and recked my secondary. sheared of f the ramp and blew out the nut studs on the iner sheeve. wasnt a plesent thing to hear at 100 mph a big bang an over rev and ur sled starts coasting. something to watch out for. a 60 buck belt can save u from a 100+ repair on the clucth.

Well that's what i was afraid of it exploding,, it and the sled has 2,300 miles
and it's a '98!!! so i figured better replace it even thou it's still good
just got feeling too guilty i guess.
