what will the differnce in performance be? Does it risk reliability all that much?
I have had mine .030 off and it will clean up the low end and run mutch harder down low and mid.....but you really have to watch the jetting.

You had .030 cut from the head(gasket surface) but you for got to mention you had .025 cut from the squish. Cutting .030 from just the head would leave .015 squish clearance and a narrow squish band,junk.
Yes you are correct on that....acutally had to check with the guy that did the work. ....By the way how would you know what I had for heads

I know that engine inside and out. I have built over 100 of those engines. 700cc to 800cc. Tunnel porting, case porting, transfer and exhaust modifications. Rechamber heads for any compression ratio someone would want. I have three of these engines on stands just for mock ups. I would recommend case porting to any who wants to race!!!!! There are huge improvements to be made there!!!!!
